I stumbled across this cover version of 'Numb' by Linkin Park, covered by Janet Devlin, and I am just in love. This performance is so heartfelt and so incredibly ethereal and beautiful. Recently, the lead singer of Link Park, Chester Bennington died, leaving millions of heartbroken fans. For me, this makes this song even more heartbreaking. Enjoy.

My apologies to the Year 5 Students who didn't get to see the end of this today. This is Pentatonix's cover of the Queen great, Bohemian Rhapsody. Pentatonix and Dolly Parton? Perfection. I love Dolly Parton. This song was written in 1973, and so it is even older than I am. This updated version makes the hairs on my arms stand up. Enjoy! Without a doubt, it would have to be David Bowie. Could this man do anything wrong? His music speaks to me in a way that no other musician does. If pure emotion was made into a song, I think it would be Bowie's work. I was fortunate enough to see him live in Perth in 2003, and it stands out as one of the most incredible concerts I have ever been to. I can't possibly pick a favourite song, but this one is up there. If you've never heard any of David Bowie's work, enjoy. Mrs George Leave me a comment! Who is your favourite artist?
GOSH I love this arrangement. Okay, okay, all my students will know I ADORE Pentatonix, however I love, love, love this song. "The highest result of education is tolerance" Helen Keller In the immortal words of The Beatles, all you need is love. Have an incredible week. |
