Oh my goodness, it's TERM 2!!!!! I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday, some lovely time with family and friends, that you ate loads of easter eggs and you are refreshed and ready for term 2. I know I am!
Loads of things are planned for this term, Junior Dale Fest, the Junior Concert and Fame Jnr stars begin blocking and dancing rehearsals. I know it is going to be busy and crazy, but I cannot wait! Welcome back! Mrs George

Last year I was fortunate enought o spend a whole long weekend at a Katie Wardrobe conference, learning about Technology and Music. Her approach to teaching music is amazing, and her website and newsletter have helped me become a more efficient and creative music teacher.
I thought this was an interesting article, because it compares teaching music in the late 80's to teaching in a contemporary environment. I remember writing things on blackboards, photocopying hand written worksheets, and taping songs off the radio so that my dancers could warm up to the latest pop song. How things have changed! http://www.midnightmusic.com.au/2014/03/7-ways-technology-has-revolutionised-the-way-i-arrange-music/ It's aimed at music teachers, but has applications for all music students, I think. Check out some of the free stuff she is using and try it for yourself. |
