This is super cool! Not only is it Among Us themed, but it tests your ability to read rhythms! (Plus it's super fun...) Play along! Who is the impostor?? I haven't used this website very much since our school switched to another online platform, however I thought it would be a good place for storing information that needs to be accessed multiple times (such as band and choir music) as well as all the EXTRA stuff that I don't get to cover in class.
Please comment below if you are here in 2021 and are keen to make some fantastic music! Gosh! Hasn't the world changed? After hard days, I used to joke that I would be a great teacher if there were no students at school...
I TAKE IT BACK!! I TAKE IT ALL BACK!! I miss making fantastic Music with you all. I miss telling awful old lady jokes, and pushing you to 'read, not remember!' and doing my crazy dances when you get it right! So, rest assured fantastic kids, I'm working really, really hard to make sure I can still teach you next term from the safety of your home. In the meantime, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to have some quality time with your family. Do puzzles, make Lego houses, BAKE like there is no tomorrow, read, read, read, read. ASK ME FOR EXTRA MUSIC WORK.... please! I have time to make it for you, I promise. Ask Mum and Dad to show you how to do a family budget, or change a tyre, or mow the lawn. Junior and Senior Choir, you have a special task set for you for these school holidays. Go to the Junior (http://wbpsperformingarts.weebly.com/junior-choir.html) or Senior (http://wbpsperformingarts.weebly.com/senior-choir.html) tabs to find your special Virtual Choir Projects. Remember, this website has a Performing Arts FUN section, with loads of cool Music Activities for you to do. Navigate up the top, or click this link: http://wbpsperformingarts.weebly.com/performing-arts-fun.html Remember to reach out to me on Class Dojo or by email ([email protected]) if you feel like you need to chat, or you would like some guidance or you just want to touch base. Have an amazing Easter everyone. xx I've been working my voice back in after having laryngitis this term, and so I have been doing lots of 'back to basics' vocal type activities. Laryngitis is complete loss of the voice due to sickness or misuse of the voice...or BOTH! My bouts of laryngitis are relativity few and far between, however when my voice goes it takes me at least 4 weeks to get back the sweetness and power that I am used to. It's very frustrating, as I love to sing so much. This video is a short and sweet 'tips' video from Evynne Hollens (find her on Youtube...she is incredible) on how to sing better. Remember when you are singing: * Singing starts in the breath....breath to and sing from your belly button. If you are running out of air, plan your breaths, or pick an easier song. * Relax, relax, relax. Nothing should hurt or strain. * Open you mouth * Articulate every single sound. And finally, it doesn't matter if you don't sound like your favourite idol. Every voice is different, and yours is a part of you. Find the way YOU sound, and work on improving that. Happy holidays everyone! Congratulations Year 6 students! We have absolutely smashed it out of the ball park, with 11 Awards presented to our school, including a State and National award!

Good morning year 6s (and other students who are waiting to hear about the Wakakirri results!)
I have emailed, Facebook messaged and finally rung the Wakakirri office this morning, and the panel HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE A DECISION and have needed the weekend and today to finalise the deliberation process....THAT MEANS IT IS CLOSE! News from Wakakirri this morning: "The short list should be released in the next 24 hours. The panel needed more time to deliberate." I have reset the timer on the Wakakirri tab up above...we should know TOMORROW! Senior Choir....amiright? Ha ha...
Happy Dalefest Week. #Sorrynotsorry for all the part singing. (You sound incredible!) |
